Introducing the New House Enhancement Program
The Board has Also Undertaken several measures to improve the hockey experience for House-level Players. At the Squirt through Midget House Levels, our kids really play "House Travel" by playing in the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League, and competing in a division with other area teams. To enhance that experience, as well make the Mite B program stronger, we have added several events:
1. PHMHA will offer a pre-season
"Training Camp"
2. PHMHA will also be establishing A
3. PHMHA will reinstitute a Holiday Tournament at McMorran Place Arena to provide an alternative to the Silver Stick Tournament for our House teams. Entry in the Tournament will be optional for our House teams, and the tournament will be designed for Mite B through Midget BB levels. Look for details in the next few months.
4.PHMHA will have multiple special skills sessions, including 2 hour sessions focusing on fundamentals for House players. These sessions will be scheduled at various times throughout the year.
5. Finally, PHMHA will be offering special Goalie Camps throughout the year. We are fortunate to have four experienced goalie coaches in our Association, each with experience at coaching goalies at the High School and/or Travel levels, who have agreed to volunteer their time to make PHMHA the premier place for young goaltenders.
